Hiding the ARCHIVES widget from the Contempt theme

    How can I hide from my (static) pages ALL the widgets in the sidebar? I use the (currently – and horrifyingly – unsupported) theme called Contempt, and although I can use the Visibility menu to HIDE most of my widgets from (selected) pages, I can’t get rid of (i.e., HIDE) the ARCHIVES widget. Is there any way to HIDE this?
