Hiding the byline (“posted by”)?

A friend and I started up a new blog in which we’d like to discuss politics and other sensitive subjects that might get us in trouble in our region of the world, so we’d like to know if it’s possible to hide this information.

If you are hosted here at wordpress.COM, and you choose the right theme, and you purchase the CSS upgrade, then the answer is probably yes :) A link to your blog would allow us to see the theme you are using.
