High time for a drop-down language selection widget?

Hello all
I think it would be a great step ahead if the devs at wordpress.com could come up with a translation widget, similar to Archives widget, where the languages will come in a drop-down list instead of the current method (https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/translation-widget?replies=20#post-304621) which takes some what a lot of space, while using a drop-down widget will look more elegant and take less space in the end…opinions??
