  Do you have a Higher Education account where multiple blogs can be created?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Any account can create more than one Blog on it – no extra charge for a second etc. blog – – do note that all upgrades are per blog so you can’t buy a “master update” for your school system

  EduBlogs has some teacher specific features, you might want to wander over and take a look – last time I looked the different packages were a bit convoluted to find

  I was looking for a premium option for our department: Technology Services. I thought it would be possible to purchase a premium department account. This account would allow users all of the premium options. Does a business account allow for that?

  Down at the bottom are the different options for schools – memory allowed etc

  No. The Business upgrade applies to a single blog.

  You are confused about the differences between a username account which you can register multple blogs under, and paid upgrades which can only be purchased for an applied to a single blog.

  WordPress.com provides free blogs and hosts them free of charge. There are no bandwidth charges. All WordPress.com blogs come with 3000 megabytes (~3 GBs) of space for storing uploaded files and images. Free features are listed here https://en.wordpress.com/features/

  Note that the free plan and the Premium plan do not allow you to upload your own themes or plugins.
