Highlighted ‘Home’ link in Vigilance very, very annoying

    Good Morning potential helpers!

    I have been playing around with the Vigilance theme lately and have found the constant highlighting of the hard-coded ‘Home’ link, to be very, very annoying (as described in the topic title). I do not want it to be constantly highlighted! Only when hovered over. And here’s the thing…I stumbled upon a way to do it when I was toying with the idea of setting up a static front page, I had created additional pages, and then subsequently deleted them, and voila!, this somehow fixed the problem…only thing is, adding additional pages (i.e. an ‘About’ page…which I wouldn’t mind having), causes the ‘Home’ link to be constantly highlighted again with that VERY STUPID bar above it.

    So…I was happy enough to only have the ‘Home’ link, as long is it was NOT HIGHLIGHTED CONSTANTLY…but then, I decided to alter the number of posts per page from the default 10 to a larger number, and somehow (?) as mysteriously as the highlighting disappeared, it reappeared. I don’t see the correlation. It seems I accidentally ‘tricked’ the theme to do away with the highlighting and now, just because I wanted more posts-per-page, it reappears. So, to re-iterate…

    How do I get rid of this constant highlighting that Vigilance insists I have? I got rid of it once, so I know it’s do-able. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I’m sure I’m not the only one who finds this agitating.

    The highlighting going away after adding and then deleting pages or making a change in settings is likely just a browser caching issue. Some browsers will hang onto cached pages tenaciously – even when they shouldn’t.

    The answer depends on where your blog is hosted. We need a link to the blog before we can give you the right answer.
