Highlighted posts – remove colour box feature from new/recent posts

    Hello there – I would like to remove the highlight feature of all recent blog posts shown in the summary sections – the first two posts are highlighted by a coloured box (in my case green) and order posts are on a plain white background – I would like all posts to look the same and to have the highlighted colour box removed from appearing in all new/recent posts – is this possible please? thanks.

    Do you want the area removed completely or only the background color to match the rest of the page? I want to make sure we’re on the same page before suggesting solutions!

    Hi there – no – I ma happy with the feature post format as it is. I am referring to the green boxes that show up on the latest posts – one dark green for the most recent and the next a lighter green for the one after it. All older posts don’t have any box surrounding them, just a line separating each post but the background is plain – I would like to have the boxes removed so all blog posts look the same – white background with a line separating each.

    I’m sorry; I’m not quite sure what you’re referring to yet. Can you send me a link to an example showing this behavior and/or upload a screenshot to your media library (instructions)?

    thank you – I have uploaded two screenshots – the first shows the posts with the green box around them and second without – i would like to have all posts without the green boxes. thanks for your help!     Hi,

    One of the benefits of a premium theme is you have direct access to the theme’s developer via the theme’s dedicated support forum at http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/mimbo-pro

    I have put together a fair workaround, but if you need additional help, please do reach out to the theme developer directly.

    In your Appearance->Customize->CSS page, add the following code:

    .archive .category #lead a, .archive .category #lead a:visited {
color: black;
}

.archive .category #lead {
background: none;
color: black;
}

.archive .category #cat-excerpt {
background: none;
}

    This doesn’t fully change the visual to match the other pages, but does remove the colored boxes and changes the text color to remain visible.

    thank you for this – sadly it just seems to freeze my menus and the dropdown function no longer works either – and not remove the boxes..

    Sorry about that. That’s odd it froze the menus. I went in and tweaked the code a bit to ensure it hit the boxes.
