Highlighting feature erratic

I am posting this a second time to see if I can get a response… About two weeks ago I started having problems with the highlighting feature. Doesn’t matter if want to center, italicize, or cut….it does not always respond.
Example…if I highlight and then hit center, the blue highlighting disappears and nothing happens. If I let the blue highlight sit on the chosen text for maybe twenty seconds, it works. Very frustrating….
Am I the only one experiencing this?

That sounds super frustrating! Would you be able to take a video of your screen when that happens so I can see exactly what you mean? Or a few screenshots would be really helpful. You can upload them to your Media Library or a sharing service like vid.me or snag.gy.

How do you suggest I do that?
You would not see anything because I highlight and when I click on center or italicize it goes away?

Okay, just to confirm what’s happening, the highlight on the text disappears and the desired formatting did not get applied?
Do you have any add-ons or plugins installed in your browser? Do you have another browser installed that you could try, like Chrome or Firefox?

No add ons or plugins and I will try to see what happens in Firefox, but not tonight. It is the holidays, PLUS why did it suddenly start happening when it’s been fine for years?

I have no idea why this would start happening. Its usually related to a buggy update on the browser side of things, or computer settings. Finding out if its happening in other browsers will help us narrow down the cause.
