Highlighting Text
-
Hello, I cannot seem to figure out how does one highlight words in WordPress without higlightening the whole line of text? I never had this problem before until I switch to the new editor. Every time I highlight a text, the whole line or paragraph is highlighted rather than specific words I choose. For example, in this example, below if I just want to make it in red – “in no particular order” ,and leave the rest black. How do I do that? Does anyone know the answer, thanks in advance.

I mean, I had no problem doing it with the classical editor. But does it mean I have to revert back to traditional editor every time I want to carry out such a simple, completely elementary and frequent procedure?

Hey there,
Happy to help you with this.
It’s possible to find the highlighter tool by expanding the block menu options, it’s the last arrow at the end of the list of options.
I’ve created this screenshot to show how this can be opened.

There’s also other options there which may be useful – I hope this helps.
Looking forward to hearing back from you! :)
