Highwind Help
-
I’m new to wordpress & blogging and am using the free version of Highwind. A couple of questions:
With a featured image is there a way to have one without it appearing in the post feed directly before the post? It’s very repetitive.
Am I correct in thinking I can’t use plug ins or add any css?
I’m having trouble with the short codes, when I add image=”thumbnail” the image is large and also very blurry.
Another issue with the shotcodes is I can’t figure out how to get a space between the results.
Here are examples of my problem:

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

1) in many themes, the Featured Image appears on the front page, but it does not need to be inserted in the blog post, otherwise it repeats. Inuit Types is like this. I just put the image in as a featured Image and don’t stick it in the post at all.
2) you can’t use plugins on a WordPress.com blog, but with the Custom Design upgrade you can edit the CSS.
3) that’s odd. Thumbnails should be small. Any change in size tends to change the quality of an image for the worse, alas. Afraid I can’t help you with the size issue. In this example http://ladieswholunchinsurrey.com/test/ I do not see your thumbnail code at all, so what may be happening is you are inserting it as a thumbnail but the list item code is overriding that and putting it at a standard size? Does it happen outside of lists?

Thank you!
Also with the feature image, will that be the image that’s used when the page appears elsewhere, say on Facebook?
If I don’t use the feature image in the actual post then it doesn’t appear on the actual post (say if it’s accessed through archives.)
This is the code on the test page:
[display-posts image_size="thumbnail" order="ASC" orderby="title" wrapper="div"]
Do you know how to get a space in between them?
