  my website link is hopesoflife.org why im getting this message and my website is not working.

  The plugin (update) was causing the same problems for me. I just deleted the wp-retina-2x folder to solve the problems.

  Fun fact: the site looked the same after that on a retina device. I assume there is no need (anymore?) for this plugin.

  how would you delete it in its impossible to access admin

  Having said that, you’ll need to deactivate the retina-2x plugin. If you don’t have admin access to do this, you’ll need to FTP into your server and rename the folder “wp-retina-2x” to something else. It will then deactivate automatically.

  Daniel I just got the same thing..the same error message..how can you make the changes if I can’t access admin??? anyone??? This is all so greek to me..

  I had the exact same problem as the OP. I did what mgmart suggested and all is good now.

  You need to access your site via FTP. If you don’t have access ask your host to help you get access. Follow this path /public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-retina-2x and delete that folder, keeping a copy safe in case it a gets messed up.
