Hijacked account

  HI There,
  I received an email that someone tried to access my account and asking to change the password. I did.
  I tried to sign in and cannot.
  Login doesn’t even recognize my username.

  I managed to send myself an email under the ‘forgot password’ or ‘reset password’ and when I did there username is not a name that I created – it is a different account and doesn’t even have my domain listed.

  Please help me to see what is going on and get my account access back!

  You are posting here using the WordPress.com username, tatiananemchin689158779. This account has not been access for over a year, until you reset the password to log in right before posting this. There hasn’t been any changes to the email address or password on this account.

  What is the URL of the site, and the username and email address you’re trying to access?

  If by any chance you’re using the open source WordPress software at another hosting provider, you’ll need to contact that hosting provider for help – we have no control over sites that aren’t hosted on our servers.

  Thank you for your assistance.

  I contacted the host provider and am working on it. The site was accessed due to not having updated 2 plugins.

  I never created this account hence I never accessed it hence nothing linked to it. Yesterday I changed the password because I received a suspicious email from WordPress.

  Somehow someone accessed my actual account and then must have created this one to distract me only I never knew it existed until yesterday.

  Additionally I was informed that I should be contacting WordPress.org and not . com.

  It has been quite confusing.

  In any case, I am not sure how to close this post and I need to close this account too.
