Hit count way down

  Hit count for the last three days just sucks. Trend for the week is as follows…

  433, 421, 230, 92, 12…

  What’s going on?

  It’s the same same at my end of the Internet, but given the heavily academic content on my blog I put it down to the summer holidays and people no longer accessing my blog from their work/offic/university computers. Unless, of course, there is a glitch in the WordPress stats, which does happen from time to time. WordPress seems to be updating some sort of new feature at the moment, and that might contribute to it, for all I know, but it’s just speculation.

  June 21st: Summer
  July 1st: Canada Day
  July 4th: Independence Day

  It’s all speculation, but if your blog is read by people in an office, chances are your stats will plummet during a national, provincial or state holiday.

  Right now there are three people on my blog. Normal numbers are anywhere from 12-30 at any given time. Hits are down everywhere. Welcome to summer.
