Hits more than page views?
-
I have searched around and not found the answer to why I have so many more hits on my counter than I do page views. I’m surprised it’s not the other way around? Doesn’t hits count unique visitors (per visit, at least) while page views includes multiple pages they may visit while they’re on the blog? Can I believe my counter if it shows so many more hits than my stats about my views?

Hits counts people who come to the front page of your blog and read all the posts, so hits will always be greater than the sum of each of the post counts.

Read through this section of the blog stats support page which explains hits and such, but I also recommend reading through the entire page to get a clear understanding of the stats, how they work, and what is shown.
