  Can I place Hitslink code on my blog…is it permitted?

  You haven’t supplied a link to “hitslink” so it’s not possible to answer your question. Could you please provide it?

  As far as I know tracking codes require the use of javascript and as we are all blogging on a multi-user platform at wordpress.com javascript is not allowed and the code will be stripped out to preserve security http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/07/javascript-can-i-use-that-on-my-blog/

  As you did not post it, I’m assuming that you verified that the “hitslink” code was javacript. There are stat counters that are not javascript that you can place on your wordpress.com blog and you will find them here http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/07/28/can-i-have-a-statcounter-on-my-blog/
