Ho w do I remove the Search Tab?

Dear Folks,
I’d like to remove the Search Form on the upper right hand side as it is hiding an important tab. the only info. I could find on how to do this is over3 years old. I would deeply appreciate your assistance.

When your in the Dashboard, go to “Appearance” and then Widgets and this allowed me to remove some of the sidebar links. Drag them down to the bottom to ‘inactive widgets’ to remove.

This didn’t work…it’s the search window at the top of the blog on the right hand side?

Appearance > Theme Options: check the option ” Yes, I’d like to hide the header search form”, click Save Options.

If you had the Custom Design upgrade you would be able to change the positioning. Without the upgrade, you can’t do anything: you can only add the Search widget at the top of your sidebar. -
How do I add the Search widget to the top of the sidebar.

You add it the way you’ve added the rest of your sidebar items: you go to Appearance > Widgets and drag the “Search” widget to Sidebar.

When you publish a post the software automatically Archives it – you do nothing.

Being new to all of this, I’m wondering how to remove my initial post from the Home page, however, not deleting it. does it just move down the page as I add others or is there some function to archive myself vs. automatically?

How do I add a url address so that others can click on it and instantly go to the website for example. Also, how do I add an email address in the same way. Easy access by just clicking on it.
