Holding one post above all others
-
Is it possible to keep a post at the top of the page even if it is not the most recent. For example, I’m trying help a contact of mine sell his PSP, and so I want this post to be the first thing people seen when they go on the blog. However, I also want to post some more. So is this possible? Doesn’t matter if it isn’t- I’ve put the title as bold under “Recent Posts” so hopefully that should catch some attention.

They call that a “sticky” in WordPress lingo and we do not currently have that option here in WP.com land.
Best bet would be to create a text widget linking to the post in question and put the widget near the top of your sidebar.
Hope this helps,

you might try setting up a static front page, but that would mean your posts wouldn’t show up at all on the front page. (except in the sidebar)

Ok thanks guys. ‘Sticky’ was the word I was looking for at the time. My mind had gone blank. :P
