Holiday Campaigns

    I am a musician and my website is powered by Bandzoogle and I send out weekly emails. I’d like to have an automatic feature set up in order to send emails, videos, and begin a holiday campaign for merch. Should I utilize a blog account on wordpress or rather an email service with mail chimp, or any other suggestions would be helpful.

    Hi there,

    While we have an email subscription feature built into WordPress.com that automatically emails your subscribers when you publish a new blog post, that feature is strictly opt-in only. In other words, you cannot import an existing mailing list into a WordPress.com site and have those people receive subscription emails. Someone will only receive a subscription email from us if they explicitly signed up on your site for that themselves.

    So I think you’ll likely be better-served using a newsletter service like Mailchimp instead.

    Of course, you can always do both :)
