Holiday Themes
-
Could you possibly add some holiday themes to chose from? There are some really nice ones out there, and it would be nice to get into the Holiday mood on our blogs.
For example:

would rock!Thanks

Although there may be some attractive holiday themes out there, I’m wondering how many would be already coded for use on a wordpress multi-user blogging platform and thinking the answer may be zero.We have a pink sticky at the head of the forum “please read me first before posting” and it’s an interesting read because it lays out the differences between wordpress.com and wordpress.org. The two run on completely different software and any themes you see there must be re-coded to work on wordpress.com so the vast and overwhelming majority are not available here

Best is to just change a “holiday-looking” header image that would match the theme you are using like what I’ve done in my blog.

Just change your header image on the theme that you are using to something that looks cheerful… like I did on mine!

I’ve changed my custom CSS so that I put up a horrid christmas background on posts tagged christmas :)

Yup those little hats and canes are gawd awful ugly looking, for sure, for sure. I’m surprised the cat went along with your misguided scheme. After all the twinkling Christmas tree next to him was “cute”. :D

I thinking the best bet would be to change the header image to something more holiday oriented. That would probably be the best bet.
I’m sure every new theme added generates a large number of support requests. I can’t see staff sticking in a couple of holiday themes just to see Mark keel over in emails.
Plus staff would probably have to keep PC and add in the Flying Spaghetti Monster‘s birthday. :)
