Home & About tabs?? And Static Page??

Add topic to favorites
OK, I’m new to this & I’m driving myself crazy. You know at the top of your page where you have the tab to click Home & one for About? How do I add more to that? I swear, I did it yesterday then removed it, but have no idea how to do it again, lol.

On top of that, I can’t get the static page thing to work. I’ve followed the instructions in the FAQ but when I go to Options, Reading & click the drop down box, I only have About in there. HELP!

It’s usually a list of your pages. If you write a page, which is something that sits outside the normal chronological order of your posts, you should see a tab for it.

Can’t tell you for sure without a link to your blog or an idea of which theme you’re using.

The problem you’re having is likely related to the widgets problem that is currently being worked on by the Support team. See this link for the thread.

Sorry about that… here is a link to my blog http://amygg.wordpress.com/ but be prepared it’s a work in progress & a mess around as I’m trying to figure out what I’m doing, lol. Thanks for the help!

I hope it is a problem on their end, because I too am currently having trouble changing my static and posting pages.

It’s not the widget issue.

@amygg:
i see you have 2 pages titled test1 and test2; does this mean you have solved the problem, or do you need more help?

judy… I really don’t know what’s going on… because I had those two pages BEFORE I posted my original question & they didn’t show up like that. I changed templates & they showed up. So I deleted the two test pages & they are STILL showing! lol I’m so confused, I have no idea what’s going on.

Send in feedback to staff. They shouldn’t be there; they aren’t widgets, so they shouldn’t be affected by the ongoing widget problem.

Use the Feedback button in the upper right of your dashboard or email to: support (at) wordpress.com

Make sure you take a look at the support request guidelines Mark just put up, too:

ahh… there is a problem & it’s not me! lol I went to the contact form & found this message:

There is currently a problem with widgets / sidebars.
Edits and changes may not show.
We are working on this right now and will post to the forum when it is fixed.
You do not need to send a Support in about this.
