  Going crazy trying to edit the “HOME” page. Sorry if it’s a easy one to fix.

  This is your front page http://spotfreeslc.wordpress.com/ You misunderstand what the function of the front page is. By default the front page of the blog displays all published posts, hence, there’s no editing.

  You deleted the placeholder Hello World post and as soon as you publish a post not a page and the error message will be gone. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

  By default the front page of your blog displays all posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. The 404 (page not found) error message on the front page of the blog appeared because the Admin of the blog deleted the placeholder Hello World post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/

  When you create a custom menu you can include all the items including published Pages that you want to appear in it and exclude all else.

  If you want to change the default front page to a static front page then you must create two Pages. http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/

  One will be for the front Page titled whatever you want like Welcome, for example and one will be for your posts to display on, titled for example, Posts.

  After you do that then you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”. http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
