Hey I am looking for the free ‘.home.blog’ domain how can I find my domain?

Hi –
I’m not certain that I completely understand this request as it’s not possible to have a free .blog domain.
On WordPress.com, free sites look like, freesite.wordpress.com. To register a free site, sign in to your account, click on My Sites – Domains – Add and sign up for one that sounds good to you and your project.

Hi there,
To create a .home.blog you can go to https://home.blog/ and hit the create button at the bottom of the page.
Let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you. I’m happy to help.

Hi all,
I just wanted to clarify something about the “home.blog” topic. It was my understanding that you could go to https://home.blog/, click the button and select an address via a keyword. If you entered that keyword but the “.home.blog” version was already taken, it’d offer the “.video.blog” ending instead. If that was taken, it would offer “.music.blog” instead. If that was taken, it’d offer “food.blog” instead and so on. All these options are free.
Is this correct, or am I missing something here?

Hi torres126,
If a “.home.blog” address is already taken, alternatives will be suggested. But in my testing, only alternatives containing “home” and “blog” are included — I don’t see a specific option for “.video.blog” but I can start a new search for variations of that address.

@gemmacevans Hi, in terms of getting it to appear, an example is “clubpenguin” in the home.blog section screen would offer video.blog instead. But furthermore, you seem to be able to enter the full address and you’d get offered the domain if it’s available (eg. you could enter “clubpenguin.data.blog”) and get it for free. It seems a bit confusing though, how many alternatives for home/video/data etc. are there and is there a complete list of them? Thanks. :)

Hi folks, try heading to video.blog and registering the name you’d like there.
I also learned in my own testing that the signup could try to remember what step you were on in a previous attempt, so if you need to click “Back” to get to the name selection page, you can. Once there you should be able to select a video.blog domain.
These thing are quite new, so let us know if you have questions or hit any snags. Cheers :)

Interesting, “video.blog” does seem to offer the option to offer those domains…but “data.blog” doesn’t. Regardless, you can enter any type with the full address into the bar on the set up screen and it’ll offer it to you, it seems. Is there a list of alternatives for home/data/video/poetry/fashion etc.? I’m quite curious myself! :)

Oh and as for a list, I’ll see what I can find out about that. I’d imagine there’s more testing to be done.

OK. Confirmed: we aren’t publishing a list currently. I’m sure you understand too that that not every .blog domain will work this way.
If you bought penguin.blog for example, for your own use, other people wouldn’t be able to attach themselves to that under various subdomains. You could create subdomains, but since the main domain is in your control, others could not.

That makes sense. Though it’s unfortunate that the list of free .blog domains isn’t published and needs to be experimented with trial and error, hopefully there’ll be a list in the future! Thanks for looking into this! :)
