  Hi,

  I tried to modify the content of the “about” page into french. As I couldn’t, I decided to delete the “about” page to create another page in french. So did I, but now the “home” page shows an error message : “Not Found – Apologies, but no results were found for the requested archive. Perhaps searching will help find a related post.”
  I would like the content of the home page appears in french such as the page “Bienvenue” you may see on the blog.
  I hope you can help me and would reply my message as soon as possible.

  The message you are seeing is there because you don’t have any posts. You’ve created two pages, but posts and pages are a little different.

  As for your current problem, I believe if you just write your first post (in French) The English error message will go away and you’ll be all set.

  Thanks Lizthefair for your reply. As for your advice, I modified the “bienvenue” page to a “bienvenue” post and the error message went away. Do all the new posts appear on the “home” page? I wished the “bienvenue” post stays to the “home” page… I also wanted to modify the “home” to “accueil” in french but could’nt find a way to change the label…

  The initial set up of WordPress sites is such that all posts show up on the “home” or front page. You can set a “static” home page and have all your posts show up on a different page. The instructions for how to do that are here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

  You can also change the labels for your pages as part of the custom menu process.
