  Hi,

  I’m new to WordPress and I have just created my blog.
  My question is can anyone tell me how can I add the home button to link back to the ‘homepage’ on the sidebar of my blog?
  I don’t see it in the widgets options.

  Hi there,

  If you would, please reply with the URL of your blog — it will help if we can take a look at it and give you more specific answers. In the meantime, here are some possible options:

  1) Add a “Text” widget to your sidebar containing the following HTML code:

  Click here to return to the main page

  2) Add an “Image” widget with a “Home” button image that links to “http://yourblog.wordpress.com/” — Documentation on the “Image” widget can be found here:

  3) Some themes automatically put tabs across the top of your blog that point to your blog’s various pages — including an automatically-inserted “Home” tab. You might browse through some different themes and find one that has this feature. Documentation on themes can be found here:

  You have accidentally left out a letter in the blog URL you have linked to your username. You left out the first “f”. You can fix this here > Dashboard > Users > Personal Settings Scroll down to ‘Account Details’ and in the spot where it says ‘website’ fill in
  enter http://fieldofflavors.wordpress.com/ and save the changes.

  P.S. This is an aside. Did you know that all wordpress.com blogs have a “home link” in the blog title? Any reader who clicks the blog title on any page in your blog will be returned to the front page of the blog.

  Thanks for letting me know about the missing letter in my blog! I would have never noticed it otherwise, and thanks so much for all the advices about the home button. I’m going to try to add it on my blog.

  P.S.I know about that all wordpress.com blogs have a “home link” in the blog title but to me it makes more sense to have a home button to return to the front page.
