Home button nav is not working

  How do I change the “home” button on my blog to work correctly? I’m looking to have the button send traffic back to my site’s home page.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  This the support forum for blogs hosted on wordpress.com. The blog in your profile is NOT a blog hosted on wordpress.com. What is the URL of the blog you are asking about?

  Your header navigation can only direct visitors to pages within your blog. The best way to send traffic to your external website is to place the URL in the sidebar, via the text or links widget.

  tijira – I think I understand. Your saying that the Home button on the top nav redirects visitors to the home page of the blog, not my website?

  Have a little patience please :) I’m new at this blogging stuff. I’m not sure of what I’m asking….but here’s the issue for me. When I’m on my site and go over to my blog (from my web site) the “home” link one the wordpress blog page) I though that home tag should take me back to my own home page on my website. I’m guessing from the conversation today that that is not what should happen. If you go to my webiste and click on blog, you’ll see what I’m asking about. The “Home” button.

  Is it not a ratonal thought that the “home” button should go to my website homepage? Again, I’m new at this, so the questions may not be as clear as they should be, but the confusion on my part is real.

  What if you didn’t have a website? The the home page tab in your blog would link to nothing.

  The home page tab in your blog is for the blog home page. There is a trick that can be used to add an external link to a tab in some themes, but it will not work in the theme you are using: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/26/page-tabs-as-external-links/ . If you consider switching themes to get this capability, only consider the themes listed in the left column of that blog post.
