Add topic to favorites
Just noticed that we have a Home Link widget. How long has that been in there?

Pass. It’s something that gets asked for fairly regularly and we normally just tell the user to create the text widget for it.

I do not have one either jaroche. :(

I created a home page linking as a category in my blogroll a while back. It would be great to have a special widget for my homepage though.

I have been playing around with themes for my own blogs and can’t say I have ever seen it either..

sulz: I just checked the widgets under presentation and found no Home widget. The RSS 1 is there. Perhaps it’s theme specific? I’m using Tarski.

update: oops. I just looked at my blog again. There is a Home link on every page including the home page. It’s in the pages link bar. But there is no widget. Maybe the Tarski theme had the link? It’s been a while since I set it up and I do suffer from CRS you know.

myronhoward: i don’t know if this is theme-specific but i don’t believe it is, seeing as i’m on the css upgrade and i have it in my available widgets. here’s what it says when i click on it:

Adds a link to the home page on every page except the home.

Update #2: I just previewed several themes. Some have the home link and others do not. Sandbox did not. Perhaps the Home widget shows up on those that do not and doesn’t on those that do? It’s all magic to me. I have problems with high tech stuff like toasters so this code stuff is way beyond my grasp.
