Okay I have done a lot of messing with my page and I somehow have 2 home pages. the one that we get to by going to the website directly (that has a 404 message on it and another Home page that has my actual welcome post. How can I fix it? How do I get my welcome post on my home page?

Well now I have two home pages that have the same post. the custom menu thing does not work I am not touching that at all because it will not work at all!. all it does is makes everything across the top disapear

If you merely activate the option, it won’t work. Unless another volunteer comes up with a better solution, you need to create a custom menu from scratch and then set it up as your “primary menu”.

It currently looks like I either
1) have a Home page with a 404 message and another Home page with my actual welcome post
2) have 2 home pages that say the exact same thing
3) have 1 home page but nothing else across the top
4) have a home page but it is mixed up with the other pages
5) have 1 home page with a 404 message and all of my other drop down menus -
No, airodyssey is right – you just haven’t figured out how to create a custom top nav menu.
Go to Appearance>Menus, tick the pages you need, click Add to Menu, click Save Menu, then select that Menu from the dropdown in the Theme Locations module, click Save.

http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i188/dragonsoul76137/whatever/prob3a.jpgI have been over this before with someone else that custom menu thing does not work I even tired with the theme that “says” allows 2 menus (it doesn’t) to top that off I have 6 people that are getting their own page as it where plus a page for art. so 2 drop downs wont work.

Sorry, custom menus do work.
Your third one is the correct one: if you add pages to “fanFic”, you must of course select that menu in the “Primary Navigation” dropdown. Just carry on adding the rest of your pages to the menu.

Yes the third one worked if I wanted 7 pages plus multiple menus all stuffed into i drop down menu and I don’t

I had unadvertently deleted my ‘Home’ page and I got the unpleasant ‘Sorry, page not found’ every time I hit my blog. airodissey, your answer about how to set a static page saved my day, thanks a lot.
