  once I leave my home page, tangerstudio.com, which I have set as a static front page, I cannot get back there from other pages. How do I fix this? Is it the static setting? Do I need to add a link?

  I checked your site. It is not hosted on WordPress.com, your domain http://www.tangerstudio.com/ points to siteground119.com. Based on this info, I assume you are WordPress.org user.

  This forum is dedicated to WordPress.com.

  As far as your issue is concerned, I would suggest you to add menu option and link it with the front page. This way users can navigate to homepage by clicking on that menu option.
