  I cannot for the life of my figure out how to get my blog post(s) to appear on the home page. There is no ‘homepage customization’ option or ‘static’ option or any of the other methods suggested online. Please help!

  Are you working on a site hosted here at WordPress.com. See: “Design” “Customize” “Homepage settings”.

  Right, so I click on “Customize”, under which I can customize: “Active theme”, “Site Identity”, “Colors”, “Logo”, “Header Image”, “Background Image”, “Menus”, “Widgets”, “Additional CSS”.

  There is no “Homepage settings”.

  Okay, I figured it out. The reason there was no “Homepage settings” is because I hadn’t yet (a) *created* a homepage [Customize => Menus => Create New Menu => Add Home Page] and (b) *published* my first post from the dashboard.

  Once I did (a), then “Homepage Settings” appeared, and I clicked the option to have my homepage display “Your latest posts”. Still I didn’t see my first post on there, so I went to the dashboard and did (b). And now, hooray, my homepage is finally acting like a blog :)
