    Cannot set as homepage

    Are you speaking of https://goyocorvairphotography.wordpress.com/?

    You don’t have the option to set a homepage on that site, because you don’t have any published pages on that site. Currently you only have one unpublished draft page, and a private page which is visible only to you, not to any visitors to the site.

    Go to My Site ->Site ->Pages and publish the page you want to use as homepage, then the option to select that as homepage will become available in the Customizer.

    Your entire site is already set to private, so there is no need to set individual post/pages to private or draft to keep them hidden. Properly publish your content as public so you can see what your site will actually look like – other people will only be able to see that content once you change the privacy setting for the site itself.
