  I set up a “Home” page so that visitors to my site wouldn’t see my posts first thing. I did this with the intention of allowing visitors to see my background image first. So, in theory, it would be nice if my “Home” page didn’t have the “Leave a Reply” box over my image. Just the Header and the sidebar would be great. How do I do this? The site I’m working on is absolutecisco.wordpress.com.

  You won’t be able to remove the page’s content, but you can remove the comments section following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/
