  How can I remove the posts feature from the home page so it’s like a regular page? Will custom design feature allow me to do that, or do I need a different theme? My current theme is twenty ten.

  Hello there! You can do that without an upgrade. Please log into your site’s Dashboard. Click Appearance → Customize. In the right-hand menu, choose Front. Then, opt for a Static Page to appear as your front page. It will give you a drop down box to choose which of your existing pages you’d like to appear on the front. Select the one you like, then Save your adjustments. That should do it!
