Home page address
-
I am very new to wordpress, though impressed so far. Please point me to a previous thread if this has been answered before. I am attempting to make a neighborhood website. When I start off to the website, http://mountvernonpark.wordpress.com/, there is no substance there and I am not able to edit the page.
The original homepage that I created has our write up, http://mountvernonpark.wordpress.com/welcome/, how do I sync up wordpress’ default home page with the one we created? Or how do I delete the link http://mountvernonpark.wordpress.com/ so it just uses the welcome page??
Appreciate any help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It appears that you want to set up your site with a static front page so that readers will land on your “Welcome” page. Here is how to make that work: http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
By default the front page (“Home”) of your WordPress.com blog will display your latest posts. You can change this so readers see a static page instead, and can view your posts on a different page.

yeah! Thanks. I read about the static page feature but I guess I did not make the connection with my “problem”.
