home page and Archives from other wordpress blog

    Hello-

I can’t seem to find how to adjust the content that appears on my Home page of my blog https://wwwdotpurnimadotcom.wordpress.com/ . I have accidentally put my resources info on this page, but that is incorrectly placed, and I wish to adjust the content there.

Also- How does one bring blog posts over from a second blog ( om shanti momma
omshantimomma.wordpress.com) , to link them into my Archives widget?

Lastly- I can’t seem to upgrade my theme via Customizer link that pops up that tells me I need to do so in order to further customize. Help?!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I think I have worked it out…sorry to bother you! Still feeling my way around here, and it’s been a little clunky.

    Joy,

I think I have worked it out…sorry to bother you! Still feeling my way around here, and it’s been a little clunky.

Thanks for letting us know that you’re all set.

I know there’s a learning curve in figuring out all the tools. But, as soon as you’ve gotten comfortable, you’ll be able to settle into the more enjoyable parts of running your site!

Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!

I do have another question actually!

I am using the Sela theme – I can’t seem to create another submenu, no matter how I try, it says it’s already created ( under that name) but it is no where to be found.

Also, is there a way to make the text/content box smaller, or multiple to reveal more of the background? Or is that theme specific as well?

    Thanks!

    Hi Joy!

It appears as if what you need to do is make this your Primary Menu, so your submenu item appears.

    Go to:
    https://wwwdotpurnimadotcom.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php

At the bottom of the Menu Structure box, you’ll see, “Theme locations: Primary Menu.” Click that, then Save your menu.

That should do the trick! If I can help in any other way, please drop me a line. Cheers :)

    Joy,

You mentioned that you were working on https://wwwdotpurnimadotcom.wordpress.com/.

When I go to that domain, I’m still seeing a landing page for your domain. I cannot even see your site to view your menu.

If you want to use the domain, purnimawomenshealth.com, with your WordPress.com site, wwwdotpurnimadotcom.wordpress.com, you have to finish that mapping.

Once you’re done, we can fix your menu.

To update your domain mapping, so it works properly, you need to adjust the name servers for purnimawomenshealth.com with your domain registrar.

The domain must “point” to WordPress.com in order to work.

    The correct name servers are:
    ns1.wordpress.com
    ns2.wordpress.com
    ns3.wordpress.com

Here are more instructions on mapping your domain:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/#instructions-for-mapping-an-existing-domain

Sorry to change the topic on you, but your site cannot be viewed properly without this element in place.

If you’re not sure where to find your domain registrar, the public information for your domain should help:
    http://who.is/whois/purnimawomenshealth.com

Please get back to me when this is all set, and we can make sure your menu works as you wish.

    Thanks!
