Home page and new page identical
-
I’m new here. I’m using the MistyLook template and I added several pages – however, I can’t seem to make different content on the Home page. In other words, the Home page and the page I’ve added have their own tabs – but they are the same page.
Any help with this would be appreciated.

I’m not clear here. Are you making a static home page? a page different than your posts? for the home page?
if so:

I read the articles – thank you. I was trying to make the Front/Home Page a static page, and another Tab would name my blog.
It wouldn’t allow me to make my static page a sub of the Home page and it wouldn’t allow me to rename the Home/Front page
The solution I came up with is to rename my wordpress tagline into the name of the blog, and make the Front/Home Page display my latest posts.
I (think) that is my only solution. I (think) with MistyLook if you don’t want your Home/Front page to be for your posts, then you will end up with a second and redundant tab.
Here’s the link with the cahnges I’ve made – http://thegenerator.wordpress.com/

Is your blog set to private? When I tried to look, I got redirected to my own dashboard.
There is a FAQ on 2 home pages here http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/07/01/i-have-2-home-page-links/

It was. Because it isn’t ready. But I’ve made it public http://thegenerator.wordpress.com/

thegenerator – you are correct; the ‘Home’ link/page you speak of is built into MistyLook.

Thanks:
My new approach is to rename my site with the Blog name. The tagline doesn’t seem to show up in the tag code. The first/home will be the blog and I will add a static page with my old name for the site.
I rock.
