how do i take content from the top level ((email visible only to moderators and staff) features a field campaign I did in the Arctic in 2008) and save it as a separate blog so I can put more current info on the home page?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you referring to this blog?
http://doctorrachel.wordpress.com/The login link is http://doctorrachel.wordpress.com/wp-admin
You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.
Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibilityIf you have lost your log-in information you can visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
Your last resort for gaining access is to complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums which are available to everyone with internet access.
-
By default the front page of your blog displays all published posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. For creating a post see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/#publish-a-new-post
-
Thanks. I think you may have something there. I’ll bet I have two separate WordPress account, one set up under a now inaccessible email account. I’ll contact them.

Hi there,
I renamed my blog and therefore created a new wordpress blog. BUT if you click on HOME, it goes to my OLD blog.
How can I fix this?
Can you help me?Emily

Sorry, my blog is http://ourhomemarysmantle.wordpress.com
If you click on HOME (on the first page of the blog), it takes you to my old blog:
https://emilysestuary.wordpress.comI don’t know how to fix that.
Em -
That’s weird.
Is the link to your home page in a custom menu? Perhaps you can just change the title attribute of the page.Did you import content from the old blog to the new?
-
I think I just renamed it.
Sigh. I hate technology and my lack of “how to”.I wish someone from WordPress could fix it. Sigh.

I followed the instructions (which I can not find, of course).
I went to help. I said I wanted to change my blog name. I went to My account and changed it. -
I should have asked you to begin a new thread, because it’s off topic.
I said I wanted to change my blog name. I went to My account and changed it.
I thought you meant something else. Perhaps you can edit the HOME Page destination in custom menus, but we haven’t established that you have a custom menu, or that the HOME button can be modified there if you do .
I’ve flagged the thread for Staff assistance. -
If I could fine where to change it, I sure would.
I am not sure what you mean by Off Topic. Am I not allowed to ask a question? -
Am I not allowed to ask a question?
Yes, of course you are allowed. But it’s rather unrelated to the initial question, which hasn’t really been resolved yet. It would have been better to begin a new thread.
The Coraline theme does have a custom menu, so you could try to edit that if HOME is one of the items. See the Custum Menus support page, here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/.
Your Custom Menu editor can be opened at dashboard navigation panel > Appearance > Menu, or click here: https://rachelinantarctica.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php

Thanks. Sorry. I am clearly not good at the back end stuff.
Sigh. I do appreciate your patience and knowledge.
