Home Page Content Disappearing

  My homepage has a word count of over 9,000. It’s full of photos, links and video. Right now, all of that is showing up in the Edit screen, in both the Visual and HTML editors. However, when I click on Update and then click on View Page, all that is showing up where my 9,000 words, etc. of content should be is a TrackBack Identifier link. That’s it. What is going on?

  I see that “TrackBack Identifier URI” message and haven’t a clue what it means. I think your blog needs Staff intervention. Please report your details to them by using this link. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

  Yep! It’s messed up and, I swear, it’s not my fault. Everything looks totally fine in the Edit page (in both Visual and HTML). As soon as I click on UPDATE, all that shows up is that weird TrackBack Identifier URI thing. AND, on my the edit screen for my home page there isn’t even a box to tick at the bottom as to whether I want there to be trackbacks and pingbacks or whatever on that page.

  I have contacted support. Thus far, they have been no help. I first had this problem on Friday 4th March when it deleted the entire contents of the HTML editor on the edit screen for the homepage. I cut and pasted the contents back in from a saved version and it started working correctly again. This afternoon, I added a few new things to the home page and WHAM! it started malfunctioning again. I have had this blog/website for 2.5 years without issue *knock on wood* and in the last 4 days have had nothing but headaches.

  I am sick about this.

  I’m sorry but the fact is that Volunteers answering support questions on these forums are your fellow bloggers. We do not have backend access to blogs. Only Staff do and posting here is not likely to produce a “fix”. As far as I can see your blog needs Staff intervention.
