Home Page Cut Off on Mobile

Hi! My home page looks awesome on desktop, but it cuts off words and pictures on mobile devices. Since I am a college student and cannot pay for CSS or Plugins, I would like to know how to make my site look correct on mobile devices. Most of my friends will be looking at my site from their phones, and I want them to be able to see and read everything on the home page. None of my other pages have this issue. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey there! It looks like it’s just getting stuck on your name, madisonbwrites: in a font that large, with a single word that won’t hyphenate, it just starts to run off the edges of the page.
Would you consider changing that to “Madison B. Writes” for example, or even creating a logo to use instead?

Yes, it is cutting off my name, but also the first letters of each blog post and the entire bottom of the page that says “Let’s connect”. It only cuts off the left side and scrolls properly on the right side. I am totally fine with changing the font of the name, but I am not sure if that will fix the two other parts I mentioned. I am completely okay with words running off as long as they’re able to scroll and see them. Currently, the entire left side is cut off and they can’t scroll over to see what it is supposed to say. Thanks for your help!

Can you try changing or (temporary) deleting “madisonbwrites” and seeing if it changes how the site appears on mobile devices? This will help us sort out where the weirdness is coming from.

I have one more question: on my “about” page on mobile view, how do I adjust how my photo of myself is cropped? It cuts off part of my head on mobile, but it looks perfect on the computer.

Hi there, under the block’s settings https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/media-text-block/#block-settings set the focal point to your face and that will take care of the problem. :)
