Home page disappeared, latest post has taken its place

  Hi
  My last post now appears to have become my home page and I don’t know where the original home page has gone… I can still see it (called Greetings from Bali) under the dashboard / pages heading, but it doesn’t show on the blog itself anymore.

  Even more strangely, this latest post is under three categories – and, one minute, they are all displayed with just the first few lines followed by […], which is exactly what I want… but, the next minute, two of them have the […] and the other one appears to be displayed in its entirety as a home page!

  Can anyone explain what I’m doing wrong and how to get my home page back and make this post behave itself.

  Go to settings > reading and make sure that you have your site set to have a static front page and that it is set to your “greetings from Bali” page and then save. If you had a “posts” page (to display all your posts) created as well, make sure that is selected as the “posts” page. If you were not using a posts page to show all your posts, then just leave that selection alone.
