home page featured image size

  Hi, I added a feture image to my home page and use the dimensions the theme said: 2000×1500 but the image is croped…
  its just a white image with buttom bunner and the text in the banner is croped…

  how can I fix it for all the devices and all screens?

  sometimes the image (gold) isnt seen at all… I will be greatful for some help with this so the banner will feet every screen….
  In the near future above the banner will be my picture so the banner and my picture will be edited as one and I want it to look good in all screens…
