Home Page Featured Image with Organization Theme

When I add a featured image to a featured post, the image changes but the blog content (i.e. headline and body text) no longer appears in a banner at the bottom.

Once I remove the featured image from the featured post, a ‘default’ image and the blog content reappear.

My goal is for both my custom image and the blog content to appear. Do I need to change CSS? Or is there somewhere where I can change this ‘default’ image? I’ve looked through all the customization sections and have come up empty.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi, is your featured image at least 900px in width? I’ve activated Organization on my test site and set a featured image on a post and my image shows up with the title and excerpt in the bottom of the home page.

Which image are you trying to use as the featured image?

Oops, featured image needs to be at least 980px in width.

The image is 980×400. Title and excerpt still not appearing. I have now set the image as the featured image which can be viewed at dovertownship.wordpress.com

@dovertwp, this one had me a little confused. To get the excerpt and title to show on the main page, you have to add an excerpt into the box below the post edit area. Give that a try. In my test blog, I simply copied a few lines out of the post and put them into the excerpt box.
