Home Page (Front Page) to look like other pages

Hi there! I’d like to somehow change my “Home” page to make it look like my other pages. For instance on my “Daily Life” page, there is a black bar that says “Daily Life” going across my featured image. There is also a space that shows the purple background before the blog post begins.

How do I get a “Home” bar to go across the header on my main page? Also, I hate that my blog pictures line right up with the header. I want there to be a space between them where the purple background shows.

Can anyone help me write a CCS coad to fix these two issues? Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there, I see you’re using the Pictorico theme, which has a grid layout on the front page, when it’s set to display your latest posts.

You can override this layout by setting up your front page as a static page, instead of having it display your latest posts.

Here’s a guide on how to do that:

    Set the Homepage

Also, I hate that my blog pictures line right up with the header. I want there to be a space between them where the purple background shows.

Just so I’m sure what you’re after, is this where you’d like to add some space? https://cloudup.com/c2nFP30FumG
