My latest blog post is supposed to be the first thing that pops up, but instead its a ling to the post and then says ‘nothing found’ .. Whats wrong?

The instructions for you are trying to do are found in @timethief’s reply
you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts. Create your pages first
