"Home" page in menu

  Hello,
  I have a category “home” in my menu. I would like to have that this page shows the most recent posts. I have never worked with CSS, so it would be great if soemone can tell me what to do.
  1) To show the most recent posts (in general) on this “home” page
  2) To show the different categories that I have and for each one the most recent post.

  I would really appreciate if someone could help. Thank you in advance!
