home page is not static

  I have clicked the choice to make my home page static and there is still a “reply” box

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Static pages can have reply boxes for leaving comments, but you can disable them if you don’t want them on your pages.

  You can change the default comments settings for new posts and pages, and you can enable or disable comments for individual posts and pages. We have instructions for doing that here: Enable and Disable Comments
