Home page link gone
-
Hi, I’ve started my first WP blog and stupidly deleted the “home” page and link, now I cannot work out how to get it back. I can create new pages without any problems, even calling one home, but of course that doesn’t lead back to the “home” main front page, it leads to the new page I call home, any tips would be great
RossThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Go to menus from your dashboard and create a menu (if you don’t have already).
Go to Pages>view all select the home page link. Add it to menu.
Now go to Theme location> primary navigation and add the menu as default. -
Hi iphonist1, Thanks for getting back so quickly, that’s still a bit confusing for my feeble mind :)
but I think I’ll work it out eventually.

Your home page is your blog front, and you can’t delete that. But since your blog is private, we can’t really tell what you’ve done. What’s your blog front displaying at the moment? What do you want it to display? What exactly did you do to remove the Home link? Which theme are you using?

Hi panaghiotisadam,
thanks for responding, you’re correct, the blog is still in a private setting, I am in the process of populating it before letting it go live.
I’m using the Nishita theme.
What I did when I first started the blog was (stupidly) delete the link somehow called Home. I think it was in the pages>all menu.
I can set up pages etc without any trouble, it’s just getting back to the home front page from one of the other pages that is the issue. If you have a look at the following wordpress blog you will see what I mean, they have 5 or 6 pages across the top of the blog, if you click on any of the pages you can still get back to the front of their blog by clicking on the “home” linkhttp://sevenspoonsbkk.wordpress.com/
any advice would be great, thanks

Nishita doesn’t have a built-in Home tab in its regular menu, so you need to create and activate a custom top menu. See here for all the details:
