Home page looks awful

    I had to look for something on my site and accessed it via the phone. When I looked the landing page has some headings but is mainly two black horizontal strips. I don’t know what this means or how to fix it. I took a screenshot but it looks like you cant add one here, which is not terribly useful cos its hard to describe.

    I have composed an About Me page to be the Home Page. When I log out and search for my site I get a very weird half and half type thing. At the top is several blog posts, some black patches and scrolling down I can see the about me bit. It looks a total mess. How do I fix this?
