  Do I need to use different wording? I just want these words off my picture! I am using the Twenty Sixteen Theme. I was able to change the picture but I can not get the following word off…

  Hi there!

  The picture on your homepage was added as a Cover Block. The idea of this block is to have an image with a text on top. If you just want to have an image, without a text, you can remove the whole block and add an Image Block instead.

  You can also just remove the text by clicking on it (while editing your page) and following these steps:
