Home page menu item

  Hi

  ‘d like to add a “home” to my main menu. I’m unclear what I need to do after adding the menu item to the menu so it always goes to the default home page when someone clicks it.

  Can someone please help?

  I’m not completely clear on what you’ve tried so far. Here is support info on menus

  To add the home option to my blogs menu, I first went to Appearance->Menus. Under Edit Menus->Pages I went to View All, checked Home and clicked Add To Menu. I then positioned it in Menu Structure and clicked Save Menu. When I refreshed my blog, the Home option showed in the menu.

  If that doesn’t work you may need to do something in Appearance->Customize

  By default this is the front page of your blog http://experimentalexpats.com/ ie. it is the Home page. When you create a custom menu http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ that Home page is already in the Pages box there for you to add into it.

  By default the front page of your blog displays all published posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. That is for the convenience of your returning visitors, who come to read your latest post, and who are not likely to be happy with being compelled to click through the same static page with the same blah, blah, blah on it every time they visit the blog looking for the latest post.

  However, if you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, and know that static front pages can be traffic killers, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts.

  To do that create two pages first http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/

  After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

  Hi all

  Got it; my bad; didn’t realize “home” was an option in “all menus” in the edit menus by default.

  Unfortunately it comes out in a different color but that’s a CSS issue that I wills ask there
