HOME page not listed under "Pages"

The HOME page that show on my site is not listed under “Pages” on the Dashboard. Why not ?? How do I locate the Home page and how do I chage the blog on the Home page?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It’s not listed there because it’s not a static page like those you can create and edit, it’s just a link to your blog front. What exactly would you like to change?

It’s not a Page per say. It’s only a “tab” provided by the theme. When clicked by visitors on any page in your blog it will return them to the front page of your blog. That’s normal behavior. That tab is coded into the theme: you cannot edit or remove it (except in the few cases noted). See here > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/category/homefrontblog-tab/

I would like to put an intro there as a ‘sticky”. How do I delete the existing post and add one that willl not change and can’t be commented on?

You can create a Post and make it a “sticky” post that will display on the front page of your blog at the top above all other posts. As for disabling comments: uncheck “Allow comments” and “Allow trackbacks and pingbacks” in the Discussion module of the post editor.
