Home page problem
-
I created my blog in 2007. It is comprised entirely of pages.
My Home page (navigation ‘Home’) was created untitled and did not have the title ‘Home’ on the page – which is what I wanted.
Over time I edited in the normal way and in All Pages on the dashboard there was just the ‘Untitled’ page listed, no mention anywhere of a ‘Home Page’.
On going to my site today, I found the opening page on an additional navigation tab, ‘Untitled’, and the ‘Home’ tab appeqared to be locked into this.
I trashed the page ‘Untitled’ which removed the unwanted page but then ‘Home’ reported ‘404, page not found’. I’ve created a new ‘Home’ page which now appears as the second tab (but it now has ‘Home’ in the text which I don’t want and I can’t get rid of the original ‘Home’ tab which is presumabley hard wired in to the Theme.
I’ve looked at the Appearance/Menu tab but this is no help as on the LHS it lists Home:Home then Home but on the menu structure there’s no mention of the new ‘Home’, just #10(no title), a page which is now in trash.
What’s going on please, and how to I get back to my original set up which has been trouble free for 6 years?
ThanksThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m not sure what happened there but I’ve just fixed it for you by creating a custom menu: https://u3astowmarket.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php
Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

Thank you very much, that’s cleaned it up at lot!
Is it possible, however, to remove the word ‘Home’ from the page whilst still leaving the navigation ‘Home’ on the tab as it was originally (it’s 6 years since I created it and I can’t remember how this was achieved). Thanks again
